The demand for skilled Electrical Technicians continues to increase, and getting started at NCC is a cost-effective way to maximize your potential in the field. - The program is offered Full-time and part-time, and you can start Spring, Summer, or Fall. EMEC240 is the only course not offered at night.
- Electrical Technology A.A.S. students can also complete the Sustainable Energy Specialized Diploma program by taking specific Gen-Eds, and technical electives. If this is of interest, please notify your advisor to help you map out your course selections.
Students are prepared to take Electrical License exams upon completion of the program, and students who complete ELTC222 are eligible to take the NABCEP PV Entry Level Exam.
A Specialized Diploma is a two-semester program; the Certificate is a three-semester program, and the Associates in Applied Science is a four-semester program. Each program is stackable, which means you can complete one program and transfer the credits into the next program in sequence. Wages would increase based on the program completed.
Specialized Diploma: $12 - $14/hr
Certificate: $14 - $16/hr
Associates in Applied Science: $16 - $20/hr
Climbing ladders and scaffolds, lifting heavy objects, working in outdoor environments on any given day; rain, dirt, mud, snow, etc., crawl spaces, attic spaces, rooftops, trenches, etc.

- Specialized Diploma: Entry-level Technician
- Certificate: Entry-level technician with a greater chance of employment
- Associates in Applied Science: Entry-level technician or entry-level manager with the greatest chance of employment
