What You'll Learn
The program provides foundational knowledge and skills that include human factors, regulatory awareness, hazardous materials, health hazards, ergonomics, accident prevention, and occupational risk management and control.
In NCC’s Occupational Safety and Health program, you will learn to:
- Develop and implement occupational safety and health programs and procedures within organizations to reduce or eliminate workplace exposures to risks and hazards.
- Conduct workplace inspections to identify and mitigate areas that are not in compliance with Federal or Commonwealth laws and regulations.
- Design and deliver occupational safety and health training programs.
- Advise senior leadership on methods to achieve higher worker productivity with reduced expenses and litigation, reduction of absenteeism, and positive workforce morale through the implementation of cost-effective workplace safety programs.

In the two semester specialized diploma, you’ll study workplace safety, regulatory compliance, workplace ergonomics, occupational risk management and control, accident prevention and hazardous materials safety.
